Guest Blogging – A Warm Up to Your Success

The popular reason for using a guest blogger is when the owner of the blog is away on holiday or is in some other way engaged that prevents them from writing to their normal schedule. There is however an even better reason for using a guest blogger, they can be your warm up act!

Perhaps there is a specialist topic that you want your blog to explore.

You could launch into a discussion on this specialist area with a brief introduction of where you intend to take your readers, whether it is mastering Twitter or producing videos for YouTube. However a more powerful introduction would come from the expert in this area, ask them to do a guest blog on their path to success in this area.

This could be enlightening or depressing for your readers, therefore your next post needs to thank your guest and show how you intend to take your readers to that level!

Thanks to your guest blogger you now have a whole field of topics to explore and the content is all mapped out for you. Even better than this, the fact that you and your readers are on the same journey, means your posts become a discussion of progress as a team rather than you talking to them about you. They and you are both new to this topic and thus the number of comments and your replies will increase significantly.

You are now actively engaged with your readers.

If you ever get stuck on a particular part of the journey, you can invite the guest back to cover this element in more detail. The need for this will be determined by your progress and of course the comments you receive.

Problems are now turned into advantages because you now have content for a second page on your blog. The home page remains for your readers who ‘get’ what your guest has described and are able to get there without any major problems. The new page is there to explore and conquer the stumbling blocks that you as a team have discovered.

The importance of the journal, for the above system to work you must record all of your triumphs, emotions and stumbles during your journey. This will be your resource material to help your readers along their journey, there is in any journey common stages where people become confused by the options available or the decisions to be made. These are likely to be the same places where your readers will need help, and you already have the solutions written down. This is a great way to enhance your reputation as you can prove that you have traveled the journey and are not just making it up!

Why would someone so successful want to write on your blog?

If you have ever attended a conference of like minded people, you may have noticed that there is a definite feel of equality in the air. This is not the place to find the sleazy sales staff out to line their own pockets. The truly successful know there is enough opportunity and potential in the marketplace for them and those struggling to make progress. Thus they have no concerns with helping others to overcome their obstacles. Of course by helping you, they hope you will give them some credit for your success, which of course enhances their reputation.

Perhaps because of their success, they realize that your blog is yet another great way to keep their name in the spotlight, and known as the expert in their niche. Which is why they are more than happy to provide posts for your blog, of course it may also mean allowing them a free plug for their latest product.

The Expert and Making Money Blogging

Being the expert in a field makes running a blog easy, popular opinion states. However having investigated this area, I found that the expert is more likely to struggle than someone new to the niche. There are many reasons for this and here are 3 of the top struggles that an expert may encounter.

If you are already an expert in a niche, then it is very easy for you to create content based upon that prior knowledge. However it is also the case that you may have to water down your expertise to accommodate new starters and the average experience of your market.

It would make sense to start a blog on something that you are an expert in as you already have the expertise to fill several pages with all of your tried and tested knowledge. However there is a problem that comes with this approach, at which point of your journey do you start your blog?. Do you wait for a major event in your professional career and progress from there, or do you return to the very start and educate people on your journey.

If you decide to start at your current position, then effectively it becomes a trade blog. In this you can use as much niche jargon as you like, the reason for this is because most of your readers will be involved in your industry, however your blog may make for nothing more than a curious read for them.

Thus a compromise solution needs to be found, and one option is to reference your early years on another page. You can then focus on writing posts on key moments and u turns that have occurred during those early years.

If you are still not convinced by this approach, take a look at what your peers are doing.

There are a lot of design and income placement questions to be answered when you are setting up a blog, these can take a long time to resolve and detract from your marketing activity. These issues are often never truly resolved, as the writer just wants to get on and learns to live with the feeling that something is not right. You can shortcut the design stage by using the elements that are working for your competition, think about why they are using them and customize each element to suit your blog.

What is the normal starting point for their blogs, which approach have the majority favored? Do not be afraid to take the opposite approach if no one else is doing it. If it works then you can capture the market from a unique position, but if this approach did not work out how you expected, you can always use this as a learning experience and more content for your blog.

If you are lucky enough to find a unique idea. Always consider the market and try contacting 3 or 4 bloggers, with discreet questions about why they have not mentioned this topic or are not using this feature. Often there is a very good reason for this omission and by checking their reasons, you can save yourself and your team a lot of time and embarrassment.

Once you are happy with the design and the purpose of your blog. You can introduce long term advertising partners onto your pages, as you now know the purpose of your blog you can pick partners that will provide benefit to your readers.

If your blog is designed to teach others then the magnetization model will have to be a lot less intrusive than if it was on a blog designed to convert visitors from browser to buyer. When people are learning they want an area where they can focus on the learning experience and take the skills away as quickly as possible without having to fight their way through pop ups, ad sense blocks or flashing banners.

However should the main focus of your blog be generating sales then you can be as market orientated as you like prior to the checkout stage. Once your visitors have decided to complete the sale, it must be very clear what you want them to do. Nothing should distract them from clicking on the ‘pay now’ option.

This all seems simple enough, yet over 70% of transactions fail at this point. Why? Because the marketer sits back and relaxes too soon, the visitor is on the sales page and there is nothing else you can do to convince them. There is however a lot you can do at this stage to ensure they remain convinced enough to complete the transaction.

A lot of checkout pages contain vast areas of white space for people and their mouse icons to wander around. If you allow your visitor the opportunity to stay here for too long, they may forget why they are here! Help your customer to remain focused on completing this last action step by ensuring that the only option on the page is to pay now.

Lightweight Vacuum Cleaners: Easier To Use Than Heavier Models But Is The Cleaning Lightweight?

As with all modern day innovations Lightweight vacuum cleaners have ‘sucked’ themselves into the market and it is a good thing, especially since vacuuming forms a frequent part of cleaning! It only makes sense in today’s ‘health and safety’ regulated environment that lighter models make their way into our homes and workplaces whilst upholding the required cleaning functionality. Why else would we then bother to purchase them?

To get consumers to purchase lightweight vacuum cleaners, designers and engineers had to work together to produce machines which were less bulky, easily maneuverable yet still powerful. Special attention was given to the design of the product which would allow the average user to carry the unit up and down stairs and to adjust the height. This would also allow users to ‘handle’ the unit better and therefore almost eliminating the strain that can sometimes go hand in hand with vacuuming.

But now, before you purchase a new vacuum you might be concerned whether lightweight vacuum cleaners are only for ‘lightweight’ vacuuming compared to its heavy-belt counterparts. It is with much relief that I can say that you need not to worry about the quality of the product as the innovation is usually focused in the improved design and materials used. This being said, not all products are equal and that it is always advisable to purchase a branded vacuum from a reputable company.

Most lightweight vacuum cleaners have fewer parts, or rather, more multifunctional parts than their predecessors and have specifically been designed to make maneuvering more user friendly. Most lightweight vacuum cleaners exclude a self propelled motor and thus require less ‘machinery; adding to their light weight. Most of the vacuums also have a filter compared to the old dusty bags which are usually found in older units. These filter ‘cups’ are also more easy to remove and often contain a clear panel from where you can see the volume of dust and dirt collected.

In doing some research I found that many people were very satisfied with their vacuums as the power to clean was not compromised. The usual complaints in a vacuum cleaner was where individuals could not pick up the hair of their pets but which didn’t seem to be the case with the lightweight vacuum cleaners. Further attention can be given to various HEPA products which are the requirement of the EPA and stands for ‘High Efficiency Particulate Air’. HEPA filters contain 99.97% of all 0.3 micron particles and will contain spores, molds and even viruses. HEPA filters are constructed with microscopic glass fibers which are woven together and compressed into its paper filter shape and it is eve used to contain hazardous microscopic materials such as lead and asbestos. It is important to notice that HEPA filters work best withepa vacuum cleaners, hoover, hoovering, lightweight vacuum cleaners, vacuum, Vacuum Cleanerh HEPA vacuum cleaners . Indeed there are many options available to you so why not further your knowledge by looking at what lightweight vacuum cleaner will suit your need?

Topics For Your Automated Messages

If you venture into any marketing forum, you will see this question posed by many stressed out people who are obsessed with their stats and forget that each number is a person with freewill, their own concerns and their own reason for cancelling a subscription not just because the author is rubbish.

The bottom line in subscriber management is forget about the overall number of subscribers; as long as the trend is upwards then you are doing fine.

You do not need to keep them, you are not a prison warder and you do not want to trap people into your system. Make it easy for them to leave and they are more likely to join in the first place and even perhaps have second thoughts about leaving.

This does not mean that you should sit back and let fate do its thing with your future, you are your own boss now and the future is under your management, if not under your control.

Remember the reason for building the list was to have a hungry audience that enjoys hearing your angle on things and you know they will at least take a look at the offers presented to them.

The list is the basis of your online success, if you can manage a list then you have a targeted audience that you take along on your journey and share in your success.

When you are invited to take part in a joint venture, then how great is it knowing that you can take your online family with you and be certain that they will lap up the venture and its benefits.

Keep engaged with your readers and talk to them on a regular basis. Mix up your messages with advice, tales of woe and joy and then hit them with an offer every now and again.

If you can get them to open your email and force them to stop skimming and read your message, then you have just reaffirmed your relationship with them.

I get loads of emails with offers and it’s a process of skimming the ones from people I trust and sometimes taking the link, then there are others that draw me in. I love these people as they often change my whole outlook on the entire day.

This is how you keep them subscribed.

What Do You Need to Build a List

You are building a list because you want to distribute your message, now this could be because you have an important idea that you want everyone to benefit from. However it is more likely that you want to build the list to generate an income, so that ultimately you can change your lifestyle and become free to choose your destiny.

In order to achieve this you must get out of the corporate habit of creating time prisons for yourself, choose a program work with it and if it works stick with it, ignore all the sales pitches and stick with what works for you. You could check out all the competition, but then you won’t be doing your thing.

The most important element that you will need is an autoresponder; this will allow you to automate the sending of messages to your list, hence the name. The key factors that you should look for in an autoresponder are the layout must suit you, it must have the key elements and it must cost you money.

You will get to hear about Aweber, it is the autoresponder of choice for the marketing world, and more importantly for a lot of mentors. I have tried it twice and did not get on with it, and thus I chose Trafficwave, which still has all the key elements, but is laid out in a way that I like.

I have just returned for a third time to Aweber and this time I am going to make it work, for if my mentor is using it then I need to follow their course exactly. This is an important consideration that we shall discuss later.

I suggest that you have a look at the range of auto responders and use the following list to make your choice.

The key elements in IT mailing list software are:

* Regular messages
* Instant messages (broadcast)
* Measure the statistics of the messages
* Allow subscribers to reply
* Enable your readers to change their details

These elements must all be in the software that you choose or you will lose focus whilst wasting time looking at the other features of the multiple software packages that you have to use, because you made a bad decision initially

Free is good, but not when you are running a business, it is bad. You are looking for long term partners that can work invisibly in the background and operate in a professional manner.

If you choose to use a free service, have you worked out how they are making their money? Is it through compulsory advertisements or some other unprofessional method? Whatever it is, if you are not paying directly for the service, you will be paying by some other method. Pay up front and be assured that they have an income stream which means their future should be assured.

Once you have a system that does all of this, why do you need another process that duplicates all of this? Building an email list is just one element of your success, thus you want to keep it as simple as possible. Therefore choose the software that contains all the key elements and move onto what you want to do. Remember the goal of internet marketing is to get out and do what you want to do, when you want to do it.

Your goal is to escape the corporate 9-5 prison cell.

If you have managed to find a single piece of software that does all of the above then you will not need and you must not use any other software

Create Your Links For Search Engine Optimization

If you are determined to make a success on line then I hope that you are taking time to read and take advice from those that have traveled this path before you.

There are those that have gone before that have found a successful route and stuck doggedly to it, only to come unstuck when the search engines change the rules. These people are still there, its just that they are stuck in their rut and are unfortunately pulling people into the their mistakes, these people are best avoided.

What you need to do is focus on those eternal truths of Internet success that will never change, and those people that are prepared to jump ship when the time is right.

The Internet is compared to a spiders web for good reason, in theory every site is connected via several links and thus when you do a search you should be able to find your new site. However the sheer number of sites, currently over 5 billion means that you are unlikely to get the result you want without giving the search engines a little help.

The best way to do this is to ensure that your site is popular, or at least appears so. The best and most prevailing way to do this is to ensure that all your sites are interlinked, with popular sites and each other. However the search engines are aware of this and no website wants to be turned into a free for all advertising medium. Therefore they now employ the nofollow code to ensure that no matter how many links you post they are all worthless from a interlink point of view, as the search engines will not count these links in rating your sites value.

But how do you tell if you are a victim of this?

The first thing to do is to create relevant links on all your sites, I actually use a program called Dia to create a picture of what links I think I have created. This allows you to rapidly see what sites you have and how they are related. Remember the nofollow code, well your idea that all your sites are now linked could be unfounded. Thus you need to do a physical check on these links and probably modify your diagram to match the real world reality. The most efficient site that I have found for this is called diagnosticoweb.com, this will provide a set of results in clear English that reveals the links that the search engines see and rate.

Remember at the beginning I mentioned that you need to help the search engines find your sites, well by adding these links and checking these links. You have allowed your sites to become far more visible and this will enable your sites to become more popular in the eyes of the search engines. Once this has been done you then need to ensure your content is kept fresh, but that’s another story.

Affiliate Products and Their Version of the Truth

You want to make money online and I hope you have taken the time to read up on the basics of marketing and business. If you have then you will have discovered who you really are and why you want to run an online business.

If you have not done this then it is essential that you do, otherwise you will wander the internet in a horribly unfocused manner, ripe for the unscrupulous to prey upon.

Congratulations you have analysed yourself and created a realistic business plan, which has a clear path to your success. Now for the big question that I hope you answered, whose products are you selling?

If you are selling your own then this article is not really that important to you, unless you are doing imitations. However if you are going to act as an affiliate then this article is essential reading for you.

ClickBank is the largest resource for the affiliate marketer and as such it is a place you need to get familiar with. There are plenty of articles that cover the searching and selecting of products on this site, so I will not cover that. However the key factor to remember is that ClickBank does not vet the products, they rely upon the market to alert them to the truly illegal or mediocre products, they will then remove these if they agree.

All those training articles fail to mention this most important factor with regard to ClickBank products.

You did your analysis and you found a product that should set your market on fire, it comes with great sales copy and all the right features. All you have to do is promote it and watch the cash roll in; you have found the dream product.

I thought I had found such a product.

Where did you do your research on this product? Was it all a matter or analysing the ClickBank page and the market for this product or did you dig a little deeper?

If you want to ensure that you do not have a problem further down the line, then you really need to dig a lot deeper. The most basic check that you can do is to find out who wrote the article and what their expertise in this area really is. You do not know me, but you can tell that I have written a couple of articles for this site. What if I claimed that I was an international writer with several works published in major industry publications. This would raise the power of my opinion to a much higher and more influential level, or it would if it were true. The question is how would you check my claim? I would do a Google search on my name, then on the publications that I mentioned. You of course need to read the results and see what is being said. I have done my homework and have created a presence on each site; however the forums soon reveal the charlatans. That is how I revealed my dream product for what it was.

If they claim to be an eBay expert then they must be active on eBay at the moment, that is an easy check to do and one my dream product failed on. Perhaps they were successful on eBay and have now moved on? Well the question then is just how old is the information and how relevant is it. My favourite marketing book was written in 1927, but still makes for a fascinating read as we are still using the same tactics today!

Does the product have a trial period, did you actually check for this? If it does not have a trial then how do you know what information is being provided and how many people buy on blind faith? More importantly you can use the trial to get key insider material to pitch to your readers. Once they sign up they will see this material and your reputation will improve immediately, as they are experiencing exactly what you promised.

The key factor is that you must know what you are selling, right down to the very smallest detail, apart from securing you financial future and your hard won reputation. Carrying out due diligence also makes writing reviews and sales pitch very easy, as you have become an expert on the product.
