New Cooking App proves to be a massive hit!
Four days after its initial release, Dishy which is a new app for iphone has become the fastest selling cooking application on the UK iTunes App Store. Essentially, Dishy promises to help make cooking easier and is billed as a recipe book, shopping list and a step by step guide to cooking a meal all in one go. 95 included recipes, developed by an in-house chef, are searchable by dietary requirements, ingredients, measured in metric or imperial and cooking time. You can basically choose what ever you want! It makes a huge difference from just getting another recipe out of food books. This has loads of useful confectionery recipe ideas for people like students and people in a hurry for example!
Users choose one or more dishes to cook along with how many. Dishy then creates an interactive shopping list on your iphone that can be ticked off as you walk around the shopping mall. The app itself guides the user through the cookery procedure one step at a time and you can manually flick in between the menus. Timing is everything for the app itself and it will have a built in timer and alarm depending on which dish you are trying to cook. This app is really ground breaking for the culinary world and I think this could offer people a different way to cook their meals in the future. Technology is moving so fast on the iphone especially and this is just a fantastic idea. The app is available to buy directly from the app store for just £1.79 for a very small period of time. The normal price will then be moving to £2.99 soon. In order to run the app you will also need the iphone 2.2.1 software update.
As soon as I get an iphone I am getting this app for sure as it is going to be so useful for me!
