How to Cut Your Heating bill this Winter

Keeping your house warm is not a cheap thing to do. Nobody likes to hear the sound of a heavy heating bill hitting the door mat. Particularly now, with Winter almost here and the weather already taking a turn for the worse, it’s time to turn the central heating on.

Unfortunately, this can only mean one thing, your heating bill is about to get even larger. Due to this being the first Winter the recession, many people will find it difficult to pay for heating this year.

Fortunately, there are a number of ways to cut your heating bill while still keep warm. Something people rarely consider is the heating power of a panel heater or oiled filled radiator.

This useful tip is normally forgotten when it comes to heating your home. Generally, home owners will just flick on the central heating and face the bill at the end. However, by using panel heaters or electric oil filled radiators, you can cut your heating bill. How you do this is quite simple. Despite these small heaters having to be plugged into the mains, they do have one advantage.

Small heaters are able to use timers to turn on and off, also, they can heat a single room fast and efficiently. If you try and use your central heating to keep your room warm, it takes a long time to kick in, and when it does, it heats the entire house, costing you more.

Whether you opt for a wall mounted Dimplex panel heaters around the house, or possibly a couple of portable ones to move with you. As long as you manage the heat well and only use them when you want them, you can save quite a bit of money.

Just remember that you don’t have to use an industrial heater to keep your house warm, you also don’t have to pay like you’re using one either!
