Did you know this about one of these Caribbean islands?

I thought it would be interesting for everyone if I provided a piece of information about some of these Caribbean islands that you may not already know about, so feel free to read on and learn something new.

Antigua is an island but this is also a word, do you what this means? Antigua is a Spanish word and means Ancient, it received its name thanks to Columbus, who named it after a church in Santa Maria!

Do you know what the National Flower of Barbados is? This is the national flower of Barbados, and this type is extremely rare, called the “Pride of Barbados” it is a Hibiscus plant.

St Lucia now known as the luxury island of the Caribbean, used to be a land of war and battle. The British and the French went to war over this island at least 14 times, earning it its name “Helen of the West Indies”.

Jamaica isn’t that large, but how many people do you think inhabit this land. Trust me it is more than you would have thought, were you thinking around 600,000? Well, if you got this i would be surprised, it’s more like 3 million!

Cuba, the state stuck in the 60’s, well I want to shed something more interesting on this place for you. This is interesting to note especially when you consider the strong regime that is being enforced in Cuba, to find out that it is the most culturally diverse countries in the Caribbean!

Tourists have been intoxicated by the beauty of this island, and it has become a very popular holiday destination. One thing you probably don’t know is that Grenada has an attribute much like that of Zanzibar, it is a Spice Isle. It is a leading producer of many different spices, like; Cinnamon, cloves, ginger and Nutmeg.

Finally we have Bermuda, well without stating the obvious superstitious stuff about this place, let’s find out something else. Bermuda is considered by many to be one island, when it actually consists of more than a hundred small islands.
